Aisling Bea
Aisling was born on March 16 1984 in Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's best-known and popular comedians. She has been on QI alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) more popularly known as Aisling Bea, is an Irish actress writer and comedian. Bea started appearing as a part-time actress in Irish or British TV shows in 2009, made her debut as an stand-up comic in the year 2011. The year 2012 saw her begin to regularly appear on sketches and sitcoms. In 2012, after winning an award during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began being booked frequently for numerous panel shows for which she was a frequent guest. She's a member of 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016, and she's a popular contestant of the sister show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. The actress is the child of Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead, her sister, was also born. She was only the second ever woman to win So You Think You're Funny. The surname of Bea is in honor of her father who passed away. Aisling O'Sullivan, also known as Cliodhnadh Aisling, was born at Kildare town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian, an equine vet who was killed after Bea reached the age of three, was a victim of self-harm. The news of his death only at 13 years old. The stage name Bea is a tribute to her father. Bea wrote an opinion piece in The Guardian, published in 2017 on her journey with suicide. Bea (and her sister Sinead) was raised within the home of Helen Moloney, a educator and jockey trainer who was also a professional jockey. The family was awed by horses, race meetings and the racing industry. Bea had a job as a Tour Guide in the Irish National Stud. From an early age, Bea knew that she did not want to pursue the racing industry. Instead, she was drawn to the artistic arts.
